Although most people are aware that Superior Water Conditioning furnishes many homeowners in Southeastern Minnesota with quality water conditioning products, many people are unaware that Superior works with business and industry to provide conditioned water in the form of commercial water softeners and other water conditioning equipment.

Water hardness is responsible for many maintenance and process problems in commercial applications. Commercial water softeners from Superior Water Conditioning provide soft water to meet the demanding specifications of all types of business and institutions with simple and reliable equipment. The staff at Superior is backed by an expert outside engineering team with years of experience in the water treatment field. Together, they are there to assist you with sizing equipment, choosing the proper system and providing technical support.

COMMERCIAL WATER FILTRATION EQUIPMENT

Although not as common as hardness, turbidity, iron, manganese and sulfur also have a negative impact on the ability of a business or institution to supply quality products and services. In order to correct these water problems, Superior Water Conditioning offers the following types of commercial water filtration equipment.

Manganese Greensand Filters

These filters remove iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide from water using an oxidation and filtration process. Oxidation of the objectionable elements is accomplished by injecting a potassium permanganate solution into the water, up stream of the filters.

CHEMICAL FREE IRON FILTERS

The presence of iron in concentrations as low as .3 PPM (parts per million)) can cause staining and sludge formation. Our chemical free iron filters remove iron and dissolve hydrogen sulfide gas from water without the use of chemical oxidants.

The type and concentration of iron will determine which type of iron filter is needed for your water treatment.

NEUTRALIZING FILTERS

Every year, millions of dollars are spent on the replacement of corroded copper piping and components because of low PH water supply. Our neutralizing filters effectively and safely adjust the PH of this aggressive water without the use of chemicals. The result is conditioned water which reduces the corrosion and failure of copper water lines and eliminates any high turbidity that may occur in the water supply.

ACTIVATED CARBON FILTERS

Water containing dissolved or suspended organic material will exhibit tastes, odors, and colors which are offensive to potable water users and troublesome to processes such as those in the food and beverage industry. Excess chlorine can also cause taste and odor problems.

Our activated carbon filters are specially designed to insure that water passes down through the filter bed evenly and with sufficient contact time to allow for the effective absorption of impurities.

MULTI-MEDIA FILTERS

Multi-media filters effectively remove suspended matter, turbidity, dirt and rust particles from the water in the range of 15-20 microns. Three layers of filter media, anthracites, filter sand and garnet, enable the multi-media filter to perform superb depth filtration. In addition, this method of filtration permits higher flow rates and longer service runs.

Commercial reverse osmosis systems and other forms of point-of-entry and point-of-use water filtration is available at Superior Water Conditioning. Contact a Superior representative to discuss your particular water treatment needs.
